Manchester's magnificent Monastery is Pugin's
architectural masterpiece. It sits alongside the Taj
Mahal and the ancient ruins of Pompeii as having
been listed in the 100 most endangered sites in the
world, with a rich heritage that should never be lost.

This hidden treasure has taken its place as one of
the UK's most inspiring venues. Visitors remark that
every space in The Monastery appears to be
blessed with a feeling of well-being. It's so real, you
think you can touch it.

A sharp, modern space in contrast to the Monastery
with a menu that is unashamedly British. Situated
in the heart of Castlefield in an urban heritage park
we are sure you will get down to some funky tunes
and celebrate with drinks and laughter right until the
big day ends.

1:30pm

Guests may arrive at The Monastery to be seated no later than 1:45pm.
We would like to remind you this is not a traditional wedding ceremony. It will be fun, happy and hopefully boisterous! It will be filled with love and soppiness and song!

3:00pm

Rob and Katie are pronounced husband and wife,
they jump for joy and everyone cries...a lot.

3:00pm-4:00pm

Everyone pats our backs, throws confetti,
and tells Rob how pretty he looks.
We have lots of gorgeous pictures taken with you all in the
beautiful monastery...
Perhaps there will be a few surprise mystery guests
to get us in the mood to... PAR - TAY!
NEW!! A coach will be available to take guests
to Castlefield so you only need to worry
about getting to The Monastery.

4:30pm

Guests to arrive at the Albert shed restaurant,
to commence the merriment and to be
seated to dine no later than 5:00pm.

7:00pm

Evening guests will we most welcome to join us
from this time onwards... Arrive early to avoid
missing the main events...

8:00pm

Katie and Rob's first dance as husband and wife!

8:30pm

Hot h'ordeuvres will be served to you as you stand,
sit... Or preferably DANCE!

1:00am

We vacate the dance floor and head for home
having had one of the best days of our lives!

All times are approximate. As we both have very large families and lots of amazing and close friends we have been unable to invite everyone to the wedding ceremony and the daytime reception. If any evening guests would like to come to watch the ceremony at The Monastery we'd be very happy to have you there.

topped with delicious home made sage butter,
served with crushed new potatoes and
seasonal green vegetables.

Dress Code

For day guests:
Gentlemen: Formal attire.
Ladies: Don your best frocks...
However no white or shades of white (silver, cream, ivory)
this is reserved for the bridal party only.

For evening guests:
As above...However gentlemen are not required
to wear suits. We ask that you do not wear trainers,
blue jeans or t-shirts please.
